The 2023 Fall Minis went amazing this year!  As a photography studio, I don’t normally offer discounted family pictures.  Typically, once a year I do fall mini sessions.  These are slightly discounted mini sessions that take place all day long at one location.  In these sessions, I often see families I’ve photographed for years and years.   This is one of my favorite parts of doing these mini sessions year after year.  I love getting to see these kiddos grow up and change throughout the years.  But, sometimes I luck out and get new clients and families too!  Then I get to meet new little kiddos and develop a relationship with new families.

These 2023 Fall Minis were split among two different days.  Since I spent the first 10 years of my photography career in the Plainfield area, I have a lot of clients that live that way and I always try to find locations near them.  Now, I live up in Wauconda and love all the new families I’ve gotten to know up here.  Therefore, we split it between two different days. One day we photographed in Naperville and another day in Long Grove.

We had great weather!

Wow, we lucked out with the 2023 Fall Minis and had great weather for both.  One day was a smidge colder but that’s ok!  We didn’t end up with rain, snow, or even fridgid temps.  Honestly, each year when I schedule these you never know what you will get.  We could have had a smidge more fall color but I was able to capture the images in a way that shows the fall leaves we did have.  I’d rather have a little less color than poor kiddos crying and shivering because they are just too cold.  After all, no one likes unhappy kiddos during family pictures!
