After a couple of reschedules I’m so thrilled that we were finally able to get the Kolb family in for their fall session.  It has been far too long since I’ve photographed this beautiful family.  Their youngest daughter was just teeny tiny when I saw them last.

This fall has posed quite a few challenges in getting the Kolb family in for their session.  Their oldest son is in the military and currently lives in California.   Initially, they were trying to make sure their oldest and his family could be part of the session.  With some challenges of getting leave they just weren’t able to make it work.   Maybe next time!   Then they had the challenge of Covid and the need to quarantine for a couple of weeks.  Thankfully, everyone was ok and they stayed healthy.

Finally, things had calmed down and the Kolb family went through with their session.   As a family who understands the importance of pictures, they made the session work!   We had a chilly fall day but overall it was a beautiful fall day.  We worked quickly so that the kids didn’t have to be chilly for too long.  Seriously, these kids were like little models.  They knew how to smile, they knew how to pose.   They made my job so easy.

We were able to do all of the important shots that I like to do at a family session.   I think it’s important to have the full family , pictures of all the kids together and I always make sure to do individual photos of just the kids.   An ofter overlooked photo I always try to take is a picture of just mom and dad together too.   All too often with the chaos of work, family and life parents just don’t have pictures of themselves together.
